Standard Uniform Outwear Guidance

The Coast Guard has established a Standard Uniform Outerwear.  This uniform
will be prescribed for formations or ceremonial events for all personnel
during cold or inclement weather.  The uniform will consist of a Belted
Trench Coat and Black Leather Gloves.  The White Scarf, often worn with the
Trench Coat shall remain optional.  A Cover is not mentioned.  It is
suggested that all Auxiliarist's maintain a similar ensemble to be used for
such an occasion.  It is possible we are asked to participate at such an
occasion (cold and inclement) and we will be similarly attired.  The items
can be purchased on the Uniform Distribution Center web-site.

Working Blue Uniform Discontinued

As of 1000 hrs., 09 August 2005, the Working Blue Uniform was discontinued.
It will no longer be stocked at the UDC and no new orders will be accepted.
Any order that was placed and not received before 09 August 2005, will not
be received. All checks and charges will be reimbursed where necessary.  The
WBU can still be worn as long as it is serviceable.

Auxiliary Aviation Patch Available 

The new Auxiliary Aviation Patch is now being stocked at all District
Auxiliary Center, (AUXCEN) for purchase.   All Aviation personnel will refer
to COMDTINST M16790.1.F., Chapter 10 pgs., 64, 65 and 66 for proper
placement of all Flight Suit Insignia, Qualification Devices and Patches.

Updated Form – EFT System

This is a follow-up message to the ALAUX / Chief Director's web site posting
of July 19, 2005 that encouraged maximum participation in the Electronic
Fund Transfer (EFT) system. EFTs provide fast and secure reimbursements from
the Coast Guard directly to your bank account. 

The Coast Guard Finance Center (FINCEN) prefers that EFT enrollments be done
via internet whenever possible. However, an EFT enrollment option is still
available via paper form that can be mailed or faxed to FINCEN. This form
(FMS-2231 / CGAUX (07-05)) has been recently updated to ensure all necessary
information is accurately provided to FINCEN. 

It is very user-friendly and can be found in the Forms section of the
Auxiliary web site (HYPERLINK

x.org/~forms/archive/fms2231-cgaux-f.pdf). Direct links to the FINCEN web
site for EFT enrollment are also colocated with the form.

AUX O Department Web Site Unveiled

The Department of Operations is responsible for the administration of the
Auxiliary's Surface Operations, Air Operations, Telecommunications and Aids
to Navigation Programs.  Each of these responsibilities is represented by a
specific Division in the Department.  An Operations Education Division
handles training criteria and information for the whole department.
