Launching of History Webpage

We are pleased to announce the launching of the U. S. Coast Guard Auxiliary
history webpage at: HYPERLINK
"http://www.history.auxpa.org"www.history.auxpa.org. The current page
provides the most comprehensive national set of historic data, available to
members and researchers worldwide.

The history of the Coast Guard Auxiliary demonstrates our motto: "A Proud
Tradition, A Worthy Mission. " Preserving and promulgating the Auxiliary's
contributions to safe boating and the nation's security is a key function of
leadership at all levels. All elected and appointed officers should: be well
versed in our traditions and accomplishments, help preserve records for the
future, and promote our history as part of the promotion of the Auxiliary.
But every member can participate in the history program, too, by collecting
information on Auxiliary activities and artifacts and making our history
known to members, the Coast Guard, and the public. Members can determine how
they can best contribute to the history program by clicking on "Program
Components "on the homepage. Today's news is tomorrow's history, so the
history program is a key part of our public affairs effort.
